White gloves go on hands, perhaps a homophone play on the name “Hans”? Am I on to something, or is it just a coincidence? It hurts to see you sad in this image, so I’m hoping you’ll get what you need here. The coloring in these panels is so perfect, mirroring the emotional content of the scene. Really amazing.
hee hee…you caught me…yes the cat was symbolic 🙂 Though I admit I didn’t think about the connection between the white paws and the Man With White Gloves…maybe that part was subconscious 🙂 Thank you for your kind words about the page…I was trying to capture the sadness I felt at that moment…and yes using color to help get across my mood…things did get happier though as you’ll see 🙂
Oh boy… well, that’s gonna be interesting. You’ve illustrated yourself getting a spanking at 5-years-old (kindergarten age), preteens, your teens, 20’s and now… your 50’s(?)
