Oh, good God, that was a dark turn. I am so glad you didn’t like it, you got (as I am sure you know) so very lucky that way! It comes to kind of a shock for me you might not be here otherwise – you have so much to give and I am so happy I kinda made your acquaintance through your work!
yeah heroine is bad stuff ๐ I remember there was kinda a ‘coolness’ factor to it in the early 90s… After living with an addict I realized there was nothing cool about it ๐
It must have been really bad in the US at that time (my mind immediately went to “Rent”, of course). I live in Germany where it also got pretty bad during the 80ies…a freaking epedemic, I am glad it isn’t, though sadly still an issue, not that common anymore.
yeah it seemed like half the artistic people I knew in NYC were using…it was very strong too… I guess nowadays it’s other drugs though I’ve heard there are still alot of users ๐
Half! That is a lot, really. Weirdly enough, in Germany it was mostly teenagers who used, trying to escape the hopelesness of the big cities…very sad. I wish everyone who felt the need to use could have easy access to help – I mean, only a few use “for fun”.
If the question isn’t too personal (please feel free to ignore it, if it is):
Do you think you might have taken less drugs if you had felt the liberty to live openly as a spanko?
it’s a good question…I definitely turned to drugs and alcohol when I was really stressed…and feeling like I have to hide a big part of myself is very stressful!!

That makes a lot of sense. I feel the same way – for me, I tumbled into a sort of passiveness, staying in bed all day etc. instead. I am so grateful to live in a time and place, where it becomes more and more normal, not to be normal, though!

You have missed out a word in the first graphic of The Method page 8. I think it is “over”.
Phil
Sorry that was wrong. I blame the whisky. It would be better with “starting” though; although it might be acceptable as it is in your dialect.

hmmmโฆyou seem to be in the UK which means you speak real EnglishโฆI only speak American ๐

So sad. It’s such a pity to see someone become an addict.
rude.rumps@protonmail.com
