This not only ends this story…but this will be the final page of my graphic novel… When I started on this crazy project more than 6 yrs ago of an autobiographical comic about my life as a spanko, I knew I wanted it to go all the way up to present day…but I didn’t know exactly what the ending would be. Well, when I had this unexpected reunion with Hans I knew that’d be the ending…and I wanted to do the story right after it happened so it’d still feel kind of raw and not like nostalgia…so here it is 🙂
Fear not though…this will be the final page in my graphic novel…but not the last one I do 🙂 I still have to go back and finish ‘The Method’ and then some other parts…so there’s more to come 🙂

As for Hans: If he would like to restart his spanko-life, I would strongly advise to try fetlife.com, it is pretty big in Germany (though I am not as familiar with the scene in the south). I would be happy to show him around. Everyone deserves to live life as himself, he should feel free to do so, too.
And, if you don’t mind, I’d like to offer a different point of view on the ending:
After the third act comes the beginning of a new story. Or, to quote Heine:
“Des Lebens Ruf an uns wird niemals enden…
Wohlan denn, Herz, nimm Abschied und gesunde!”

I was thinking the same thing as Joanne, does Hans know you’ve dedicated an entire chapter of your graphic novel to your relationship with him (well, now two)? I’m sure we’d both love to know what he thought (thinks) of that.
You kind of scared me for a moment when you said you were done, I was thinking, “NO, The Method isn’t finished!”. Glad to hear you’re going to finish that, but when I start to feel sorry that you won’t continue with more graphic novelization of your life I remember how much you’ve already done and realize that if I novelized my life it would 1/8th as long as yours and no one would want to read it (LOL).
So, just wanted to say how much I know we all appreciate the many hours of hard work you’ve put into this project and how much we have all enjoyed it. Not only is the narrative incredibly engaging, but it’s full of homages to great works of art, literature, music, and many delightful Easter eggs that I seem to find every time I re-read it (which is many). The work is undoubtedly unique in the annals of spanko literature and in addition to being a treasure to the denizens of that kink, it also has significant merit as an examination on the formulation of certain proclivities in childhood. I will never cease to be amazed by the honesty of this work and the bravery needed for you to undertake it. Thank you for taking us along on this beautifully crafted journey of your very interesting life, Rude!
